  • Love this entire series!

    This series just keeps getting better. I love the way Toby writes with such exquisite detail. Five books in and I’m almost starting to feel like a local. Lei is finally starting to find a home too in her family and in her friends. She’s grown a lot in this last book and I’m happy to see that she realizes that she’s not alone. She’s made some new friends this time around and I have a feeling we will be hearing from one of them again soon. The storyline itself was different than the usual “who done it”. The reveal was an interesting twist as well. Some loose ends were wrapped up plot wise and I can only hope it’s to give Lei a fresh start with a clean slate. But as with all things Lei Texeira, adventure awaits so I’m off to dig into the next book.

    This is my first read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed all of different scenarios as well as the very likable characters. It wasn't as suspenseful as other books I've read, but it kept my attention throughout the entire book. There was no drivel or boring points, and for that, I applaud the author. I can only hope that more of her books are offered on iBooks.

    It was pretty good! The ending was sappy but good. Politics were pretty accurate, darn politicians! Overall a good book!
